An international conference which will explore the collection and analysis of increasingly complex data and theory-building in qualitative social science research. Invited plenaries and semi-plenaries will review the major issues facing researchers, and the innovative methodologies which are being developed within this context. The conference will be structured around themes such as:

Life-histories, biographies and archives
The collection and analysis of discourse data
The use of information technologies for creating, analysing and disseminating data
The use of qualitative data for developing and evaluating evidence-based social policy and practice
The use of multi-method research designs and strategies
