The Fifth Israeli Conference of Qualitative Research

The theme of the 2012 conference is “Qualitative Inquiry and the Challenge of Social Change”.

"Our theme this year revolves around the potential of qualitative inquiry to influence social change through the exposition of the complex connections between the personal, the social and the political. This theme includes: research that documents the stories, voices, pains, struggles, subjectivities and dreams of people who have been scarred by inequality; research that “remembers” the large social systems when studying people’s stories; research that deconstructs social constructions and analyses their influences and implications; research that examines the implications and expressions of social, educational, medical and welfare policies on real lives; research that challenges the common ways of knowing."
