You can also find out more about the book and preview some of the content via Google books on the SAGE website here:…

Hi Harriet!
Thnx for your advise to read Netnography of Kozinets! It was a good startingpoint.

As I understood this is about a participant-observational research on specific online communities whereas I am thinking about doing observational (not as a participant) research (broadly) on Web 2.0/3.0 on a specific subject. If you know any other good articles or books please let me know as well...

Thank youfor your invitatin and concern. For a moment, I am doing a very complicated
public-research mainly on environmental and social impact assessment on newly projected 5060km Ethiopian Railway project with its additional 72km light railway transit in metropotitant city (i.e. Addis Ababa ). I am doing this research with a team of different deciplines like ecologist, sociologist, economist, hydrologist, material, electrical, mechanical and civil engeeniars, anthropologist, transpotr planners, demnd forcuster, railway engeener,etc..
you know it is very dificult to incorporate each and evry components of the reseach methodologies in all aspects of the study, but you are sometimes sellective to use the different approaches in their appropriate way.
I may be intuch with you for further discusion and some questions/methods which need some how better clarifications. see you again in contact buy buy....

Hi Harriet. I am now regretting using this photo, since it's not very good anyway, and whenever I click on anything it appears!

But hey, great website!
