A main interest I have is the development of biographic-narrative-interpretive method (BNIM) and a free BNIM Short Guide and Detailed Manual> is available on request from .
In particular I am also involved in promoting a psycho-societal approach to social research which considers as defended both individual and collective subjectivities -- in my case a psychoanalytically-informed understanding -- but also what can be provisionally labelled as 'objective social relations as practies' -- in my case a macro-historically-informed understanding of historical changes in world systems. To this end, I'm a member of a just-started UK-based PSYCHOSOCIALNETWORK and an International Research Group for PsychoSocietal Analysis (IRGfPSA).
With others, I've also set up a an organisation with family members in rural South-West Uganda -- called KANAAMA INTERACTIVE -- for the promotion of North-South voluntourism, dialogue and working alongside.... This might be seen as the 'applied side' of a concern for qualitative social change!
