SRA Social Media Event Update and Grounded Theory Course

Hello,

New information has been added to the SRA website regarding the Social Media Event on the 23.02.11 with brief abstracts of the papers being presented at this event and there will be ample opportunity for discussion and group engagement. For the most up to date information on what is happening at the event please see: http://www.the-sra.org.uk/events.htm

Dr. Simon Haslam who has been assisting us with this event also has his Grounded Theory Research Methods Course scheduled for the 5th May and will be a new experience for all involved as it will be the first time that it will be held. Its aim is to give social researchers practical insight into the application of Grounded Theory research method. Grounded Theory has been used to great effect in academic research, generating insight into social behaviour and processes that some would argue could not be generated by other methods. This workshop focuses on the application of Grounded Theory approaches outside of academe – looking at how Grounded Theory approached might enhance research insight and outcomes. For more information please see: http://www.the-sra.org.uk/training/grounded_theory_research_05052011.htm

Best wishes,

Maki
