The Labour Force Survey: past, present and future, 28 November 2013, BIS Conference Centre, London

The largest ongoing social survey of the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the Labour Force Survey, has reached its 40th birthday.

To mark this milestone, ONS and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) have joined with the UK Data Service to host the annual UK Data Service User Meeting for the LFS on 28 November 2013.

The morning session of this one-day event will look at LFS highlights and look to future developments for the survey. The afternoon sessions look at interesting research projects using LFS to capture changes over time.

The event is an opportunity for Labour Force Survey data users and producers to mark the success of this long-standing and valuable survey and also an opportunity to discuss new developments.
