November is Academic Writing Month.
Using the tag #AcWriMo, writers around the world discuss their goals and progress, and share resources. On SAGE MethodSpace, we collaborate with the Textbook and Academic Authors Association to share original posts, resources, examples, tips, and encouragement. We offer Tweetchats and webinars that allow us to learn from each other, as well as from published authors, editors, and experts in the field.
In 2019, #AcWriMo on SAGE MethodSpace will focus on the processes involved with writing and publishing texts, academic, professional, or scholarly books. Join us! When you log into MethodSpace.com you will receive new posts by email.
The November webinar, Write a Book! From Acquisition to Publication will feature two SAGE editors, Leah Fargotstein and Eric Garner. Leah Fargotstein is an acquisitions editor. Eric Garner is SAGE’s managing editor of US books production. I will moderate, drawing on my experience publishing books with SAGE and several other publishers. I will pose questions and make observations from the writer’s perspective. Together, we will explain how each step of the process works and discuss best practices for authors. All are welcome, so tell your colleagues and students. Registration is open now! Join us November 14, at the time in your zone.
In 2018, SAGE MethodSpace welcomed perspectives of diverse guest writers who discussed their work. Find their posts here
In 2017, SAGE MethodSpace jumped into AcWriMo with a series about stages of the writing process.
