The MethodSpace focus for October is on Action Research. Can you remember a time when action research was more critically important? We are challenged by the fact that our worlds have changed dramatically in the last year, creating new problems that call out for study, while many of us face new obstacles for conducting research or teaching methods. In these times it is simply not enough to just do research, we need to do research that will produce useful, applicable findings.
Our Mentors-in-Residence this month are Ernie Stringer and Alfredo Ortiz Aragon, co-authors of a new edition of the text Action Research. They defined action research and gave examples in this research conversation. They will contribute blog posts throughout the month.
We’ll feature more interviews, original posts from action researchers, as well as relevant open-access articles and cases on MethodSpace this month. You will find the unfolding series through this link. Whether you are experienced or have just discovered action research, we hope you will learn something new this month!
