Global Research Leaders Discuss Transcending Boundaries in Qualitative Research

Many academic conferences have moved online. On one hand, we miss seeing colleagues, chatting informally over a nice meal, or perusing the vendor area for new books (and free pens.) On the other hand, online conferences give us a chance to come together, whether or not we have travel funds. The upcoming Nvivo conference, Transcending Boundaries in Qualitative Research, is just that kind of opportunity!

I will be co-presenting with two SAGE Methodspace contributors:

Collaborating Across Boundaries

Do you remember the fantastic MethodSpace webinar last year with Cheryl Poth and Natalia Reinoso Chavez? Natalia and I will discuss the informal collaboration that grew out of our work to plan webinar. We will advocate for building mutually-beneficial relationships across disciplinary and national boundaries.

Journal Across Boundaries

Did you see the interview I conducted with Nicole Brown, about her intriguing creative research methods? Soon after, I learned that she also wrote a book about research journals-- an interest we share. Nicole and I will share our approaches for journaling about the research process, and journaling for self-care during the challenging experiences of research.

Of course these are just two presentations of many from global researchers who will talk about ideas, methods, and lessons learned. I hope you will join us, September 22-23, 2021.
