It is December, which means a new Focus Series is beginning! This month you will find original MethodSpace posts, examples, and links to open access resources about:

  • Collaborative research.
What issues arise when small or large teams work together to collect and analyze data? How do researchers collaborate with gatekeepers, or with participants? What tips can we learn from experienced collaborative researchers?
  • Collaborative writing/editing.
What issues arise when researchers work together to writer or edit books, chapters, articles, reports, or other deliverables? What issues arise when individual researchers work with editors, designers, and others to get work published? How can writers work productively and overcome obstacles that can sabotage a project?
  • Teaching research methods using collaborative learning.
What issues arise when we try to teach future researchers the skills they will need to work collaboratively as academics and/or professionals?
