The National Academies of Sciences Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education invites you to attend a public seminar at 2:15 p.m. on October 20 for the Committee on National Statistics 134th conference. The seminar will feature presentations by leaders of the Commission and plans to focus on key recommendations and implications for federal government statistical activities. Speakers included are Nancy Potok, of the U.S. office of Management and Budget, Katherine Abraham, University of Maryland, Ron Haskins, Brookings Institution, Robert Groves, Georgetown University.
Those attending should look forward to similar themes from the committees last seminar and are set to discuss in great depth methods for combining data sources, quality frameworks, and approaches for protecting privacy. The seminar will also feature the second major report released by the Committee on National Statistics and will branch off of its predecessor that was released in January.
