About the conference
The 26th International World Wide Web Conference promises delegates a sustainable, relevant, innovative and memorable program and is the centerpiece of Perth’s ‘Festival of the Web’: eight days of social events from dawn to dark, focusing on four themes that address the significant challenges of our era and beyond.
Conference themes
The conference will feature four streams around the evolution of the web, technical standards, the impact of the web on society, and its future. Connecting all four streams will be themes of eLearning, remote services, security and privacy.
A W3C technical stream will review and consider web standards and the impact and needs of a rapidly-expanding web universe.
Exhibition space
Across the four days of the conference, the pavilions will come alive with relaxation zones, cash bars, a poster display, an innovative web-focused digital art and visualisation exhibition, and a glass-walled zone where game developers will be creating games live.
Would you like to book a booth in the expo space? Sponsors will have automatic access to a booth, but non-sponsors are invited to purchase a booth. Download the sponsorship prospectus [.pdf – 1.2 MB] for all the details.
Access
The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a wheelchair accessible venue with lifts and amenities.
The organisers endeavour to ensure people with accessibility requirements are catered for. Should you require specific assistance, please indicate your request as part of the registration process or contact us so we can ensure your attendance at the conference is as comfortable as possible.
Meals
Please advise the meeting secretariat either via the registration form or in writing should you wish for them to make alternative arrangements on your behalf.
Requests received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed.
Parking
Parking within the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is open to the public and spaces are limited after 7.30am.
The conference has a limited opportunity to reserve parking bays for local delegates. Reserved bays cost $40 per day and can be booked via the online registration. Please note that this price may be subject to change, but delegates reserving bays will be notified should there be variations to the charge.
The booking deadline for pre-reserved parking is Friday, 3 March 2017.
