    The National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) will be issuing a call for applications for Networks for Methodological Innovation projects in February.

    The aim of this scheme is to enable networks of researchers to meet in order to stimulate debate and develop ideas in relation to methodological innovation. The scheme allows a series of events and related activities to be undertaken over a period of twelve months commencing in October 2012.

    Funds are available for three projects, with a maximum budget of £32,000 per project. Applications are invited on the following methodological topics:

    – methods for measuring and understanding social mobility;
    – qualitative longitudinal methods;
    – web surveys for general populations.

    The scheme is open to all social science disciplines. The closing date for applications is 14th March 2012.

    Further information and the application form will be available from 1st February, 2012 from the NCRM website.
