In your opinion, is Case Study Research a research strategy OR is a data collection method of Qualitative Research? I have found articles and discussions that argue both, and I am getting really confused !
There are arguments on both sides, as you’ve discovered. Personally, I agree with Yin (2005) that case studies involve a research strategy, given that they can involve many types of data collection methods, both qualitative and quantitative.
Thanks for taking the time to reply Naomi, I think I agree with you and Yin ! It can be so confusing when established text books only talk about case studies as part of a qualitative research strategy.
