Dear colleagues,
I am analysing data from a large (ish) questionnaire (n = 608), looking at participants’ experiences of the ageing process. I have different sample sizes between age groups, however, and my variances are unequal. I have therefore used the Games-Howell procedure to test differences between groups, and find significant differences between 3 ages of interest (young, older, and old-old adults).
My ridiculously simple question is… how do I report this? I have tried searching for articles using G-H procedure, but my university doesn’t have access to any of the relevant journals (argh). My comparison between young and older adults, for example, has a mean difference of .578, std error of .116, p value of .001, and confidence intervals of .250 and .905.
If someone could tell me how to write this up I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Joanne
