    Research Associate (Care Outcomes Measurements)

    RNID – The Royal National Institute for Deaf People

    Salary : £25,000 – £28,000 pa, depending on experience
    Fixed term, 2 year KTP appointment plus sponsored Masters
    Location: London EC1Y 8SL

    RNID, the Royal National Institute for Deaf People, is collaborating with RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People on a project to help improve the social care services they provide. Both charities support disabled people to ensure the same rights, opportunities and quality of life as others. RNID works for 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people. RNIB works for 2 million blind and partially sighted people.

    This is an exciting opportunity to develop a system to provide metrics and KPIs to measure outcomes and impacts and deliver improvements in social care services provided to sensory-impaired people.

    You should have a 1st degree in social sciences or related disciplines, and a keen interest in social care. Experience of data analysis related to performance measurement, benchmarking and KPIs is required. Experience of working in a not-for-profit environment, and working and communicating with disabled people would be advantageous. Ability to communicate in British Sign Language BSL would be an advantage. If not, the successful candidate must be prepared to learn at least to BSL level 1. Good knowledge information management skills with the ability to set up appropriate IT systems are needed. You should be innovative with good organisational skills, proactive, self motivated, and able to work independently, as well as in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and introduce change are required, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are essential.

    This is a fixed term 2 year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) appointment in which the candidate will work full-time at the organisation, but will be employed by London South Bank University.
