The National Institute for Health Research School for Social Care Research (based in the UK) has commissioned a series of methods reviews for people interested in social care research with adults – that covers things like topics like social work, long term care, and support for people with disabilities. They are aimed at research students and new researchers ers and professionals such as social workers on qualifying programmes – or anyone who would like to read about approaches to research in this area. The first three are a general overview on qualitative approaches, research with visually impaired people and research with LGBT people but there are more to follow.
They’re aimed at encouraging further reading and they are all quite short so they can’t cover everything but they might be a useful starting point for some members.
