I was trying to do a survey but I am having trouble. Is there a research method for psychology that tells you a bit more about designing research? Any books or articles would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Nancy

    Hi Nancy,

The best ‘How to do a survey’ type series I have used is by SAGE Publications – they have a series of 6 or 7 books that take you through the who process In particular Arlene Finks book (http://www.sagepub.com/booksProdDesc.nav?prodId=Book232610&). Of course the ‘guru’ of survey research is Don Dillman (http://www.sesrc.wsu.edu/dillman/), who has a new edition of his book out. As a social researcher these are what I refer to. However you may wish to use Google Scholar or even visit SAGE online to check for research methods in your field.

    Good Luck

    Lyndal
