Some of the members of the Realist Biography forum (Adam Mrozowicki, Jeff Turk, Markieta Domecka) participated in the last workshop of the EU funded 7th Framework Programme project on “Euroidenties” (Euroidentities.org). The project involves some of the key biographical researchers in Europe (see: Partners).

The idea to organize the workshop exploring the possibilities to combine critical realist ontology and biographical methods attracted attention of the participants. The management group of the ‘Euroidentities’ project agreed that the ‘Realist biography group’ workshop can be organized parallel to the project’s annual conference in April 2010, which will take place in Brussels.

It means in practice that we will have the most of the key biographical methodologists gathered in one place. Currently, we start contacting critical realists to assure their participation as well. We are also exploring further possibilities of funding the workshop.
