Applicants are invited to apply for an 18 month Research Fellowship, working with Dr Nik Brown (Principal Investigator) on an EC-funded project: ‘Impact of Citizen Participation on Decision-Making in a Knowledge Intensive Policy Field’. The project will explore policy making in the context of transpecies transplantation (xenotransplantation) and animal biotechnology.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and ideally have a Ph.D.relevant to the sociology/anthropology of the biosciences. Applicants should demonstrate experience in undertaking primary qualitative research; the ability to analyse and interpret large bodies of data; the potential to communicate effectively and to publish in quality social science journals.
