My thesis is about social inclusion of young people who grew up in the orphanages. I developed interviews with 60 young people who lived in the orphanages. One of the professor asked me: how you prove the validity of your data? What do you answer at this question?

Hi Ina, if you did deep interviews with open questions it means you gathered your data in a qualitative method and you used grounded theory. In this case validity and reliability are not the same as quantitative researches and we use some other techniques like different kinds of triangulation . We call the equivalent of validity and reliability as credibility, transferability and dependability. So I think the question is a confusing question.
