SAGE Ocean Speaker Series Debuts with Taxing Subject

SAGE Ocean, the new SAGE Publishing initiative to to support social science by equipping social scientists with the skills, tools and resources needed to work with big data and new technology, will be hosting a series of free events throughout 2018 to explore the intersection of social science, big data and technology.Their first event will take place next week in London on March 8, featuring tech attorney and social medial law professor, Kimberly A. Houser. Houser is a clinical assistant professor of accounting at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business in the United States, In her London talk, she will address her research into the US tax authority’s use of big data, the resulting privacy issues and the potential violations of US federal law.
