Do we need qualitative and quantitative methods?

Categories: Editorial

After attending a great conferences about qualitative methods last week, I´ve started to rethink about those concepts. As were said on that conference there was only one method in the beginning of research. Namely that method that could give an answer to an speicific question. Maybe we spend to much time defend our own “research methodology”, so we loose important time to generate knowledge? Maybe we should just give up those two traditions and start thinking of one research method, that which can answer our research question?

Just thought that were brought into light by the QHR2011 conference in Vancouver, BC.
